US Offers Assistance to Canada Over Shooting

The United States is offering assistance to Canada after a series of shootings at or close to the Canadian parliament building in Ottawa.

President Barack Obama has spoken by phone with his Canadian counterpart Prime Minister Stephen Harper, condemning what he called an "outrageous attack".

White House Spokesman Josh Earnest says he isn't able to confirm if the shootings are related to terrorism.
