Britain is sending 750 troops to Sierra Leone in a bid to assist the West African nation battle Ebola.
The military personnel will be deployed by the end of next week, and the government in London is also sending a medical ship and three helicopters to the region.
British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, speaking during a visit to Washington, says western nations need to step-up their response to the Ebola crisis.
