An American and Two Japanese scientists have won this year's Nobel Prize for physics.
The team were given the award for the discovery of the elusive Blue light-emitting diode or LED.
The light - when combined with its red and green cousins -created the white light source that now illuminates computers, smart phones, and the lamp on your desk.
The three physicists will share 1.1 million dollars in prize money.
