The Obama administration is finding it must defend its promised coalition of more than 60 nations fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
The U.S. Special Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, retired U.S. General John Allen, just returned from a trip to Iraq, the Persian Gulf and Turkey to discuss the alliances to fight the jihadis now threatening Baghdad.
With particular questions being raised about Turkey's role, but other nations as well, Envoy Allen said talks are ongoing.
