EU keeps Russia sanctions in place

The EU is keeping sanctions on Russian state officials and companies in place, judging that a peace deal in eastern Ukraine has not been fully effective.


An EU spokeswoman noted that part of peace deal between Ukraine's government and militants it sees as Russian backed, "will need to be properly implemented."
