Egypt Denies Aerial Bombing of Islamists in Libya

Egypt has been conducting air strikes on militants who have taken control of key cities in Libya, according to the Associated Press.

Egypt has officially denied its involvement, despite the news agency being briefed on the strikes by two unnamed Egyptian officials.

Islamist groups have taken over the Libyan capital Tripoli and also control the second largest city, Benghazi, where the bombs struck.

The nation's Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni is confined to the port city of Tobruk as fighting continues.

US State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki didn't confirm the reports, but is discouraging  any international involvement in the factional violence.
