Deadly protests in Turkey as UN warns of 'massacre' in Kobani

As US-led air strikes continue in Syria and Iraq, Islamic state fighters are thought to be shelling a Syrian border crossing with turkey to isolate the town of Kobani from Kurdish forces.

The UN has warned that thousands of Kurds could be massacred if the IS advance is allowed to continue.

Meanwhile, deadly protests over events in Kobani rage in Turkey.
