Calls for investigation after police fatally shoot black teen

A state senator and black leaders in the U.S. state of Missouri are calling for a federal investigation after a white police officer fatally shot a black teen.

This comes as tension was already high in St. Louis. The August killing of African-American teen Michael Brown sparked weeks of unrest in the nearby suburb, Ferguson. And many residents are preparing for a weekend of protests over alleged police violence and racial profiling.
