White House welcomes British decision to join anti-IS coalition

The United States has welcomed Britain's decision to join the bombing campaign against the so-called Islamic State group.

UK lawmakers voted heavily in favor of joining the US-led airstrikes, but only in Iraq and not Syria.

Britain becomes the latest nation to join the coalition actively involved in the operation.
