U.S. President Barack Obama has confirmed the U.S. military conducted a series of strikes against Islamic State targets and also the emerging Khorasan group in Syria.
The U.S. Central Command issued a statement saying a variety of planes and drones were used to conduct more than 20 airstrikes.
