Pres. Obama confirms five Middle East nations participate in Syria airstrikes

U.S. President Barack Obama has confirmed, the battlefield against the self-styled Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant has expanded to Syria, with Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates providing support and participating.

Separately, the U.S. military also targeted Khorasan, a group with deep ties to Al Qaeda and suspected of plotting attacks against the United States from bases inside Syria.

U.S. President Barack Obama gave the order to start bombing Syria.
