PARIS SUMMIT ON IRAQ AND SYRIA OPENS

US Secretary of State John Kerry is meeting fellow foreign ministers in Paris to discuss an international response against Islamic State militants.

10 Arab states are said to be backing a coalition to help fight IS in Iraq and Syria.

It follows the beheading of a British aid worker by IS militants.

And France says it has joined the UK in surveillance flights over IS positions in Iraq.
