Obama Lays Out Strategy to Battle IS Militants

Barack Obama has been setting out his strategy for dealing with the Sunni terror group the Islamic State.

Speaking from the White House, the President said he's significantly expanding the US military campaign against the organisation, and would lead a broad coalition to roll back the threat.

Mr Obama said he'll be using air power and partner forces on the ground to take out IS militants 'wherever they exist', in Syria as well as in Iraq.
