Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the former Russian oligarch released from prison last year, is staking a claim to the leadership of Russia's opposition.
Mr Khodorkovsky has announced that he will be restarting his Open Russia movement, with the aim to guide Russia towards a European model of democracy.
This comes following the biggest opposition protest in years, as tens of thousands marched through Moscow over the weekend to protest against Russia's role in the conflict in Ukraine.
Jake Rashbass reports from the Russian capital.
