French Pres. Hollande condemns news of decapitation

French President Francois Hollande is condemning the news  55-year-old tourist Herve Gourdel was decapitated, after being captured over the weekend by militants claiming ties to the Islamic State.

At a special heads of state meeting of the United Nations Security Council, President Hollande said that force should be the response to terrorism.

Mr. Gourdel was reportedly hiking in the Atlas mountains when he was kidnapped.
