British MPs start debate on UK air strikes in Iraq

British MPs have begun debating possible UK air strikes on Islamic State targets in Iraq - with the Prime Minister David Cameron saying this is a mission that "will take not just months, but years."

Politicians will vote on UK military action on Friday evening (1700BST), with RAF Tornado jets on stand-by to begin air strikes as early as this evening.
