Abbas calls for UN resolution on Israel withdrawal

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has blasted Israel's recent campaign in Gaza, during a speech at the United Nations.

Mr Abbas described the war against Hamas as "genocide", and urged the UN to back a timetable for Israel to withdraw from Palestinian land captured in the 1967 war.
