Democratic Representative Dutch Ruppersberger defends Obama stance on IS

The United States has conducted a new round of air strikes on Islamic
State positions in Iraq near the town of Amirli.


The Pentagon says that at the request of the Iraqi government U.S.
forces also airdropped aid into the town. The move is to provide
humanitarian support for the population that's been trapped since IS
militants advanced on the area several months ago.


Speaking to CNN Democratic Representative Dutch Ruppersberger says
that this is only part of the solution.
