Historic day for the auto industry: Tesla market cap tops $1tn

Electric carmaker Tesla briefly topped a $1 trillion market cap during trade on Monday - a first for the auto industry.

The fresh high follows news that rental car giant Hertz is buying at least 100,000 Teslas by the end of next year.

Moderna trial shows Covid-19 vaccine is safe for 6 - 11-year-olds

US biotech firm Moderna says its COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective in children aged six to eleven.  


It comes the day before US government advisors vote on whether to authorize the Pfizer vaccine in children aged 5-11, meaning that age group could receive a vaccine as early as next month.

Notorious Colombian Drug Lord Captured

Colombia's military forces have captured the notorious drug lord Dairo Antonio Usuga, after the Colombian government had offered an $800,000 reward for information that would lead to his whereabouts

The United States had also placed a $5 million bounty on him.
