AUSTRALIA: Pilot under investigation for falling asleep and missing airport

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating after a pilot fell asleep while flying solo in Tasmania, missing the scheduled landing destination by 46km.

Merkel holds calls with Putin, Poroshenko

German chancellor Angela Merkel has spoken by phone with Russian
president Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko
following Russia's capture of three Ukrainian ships in the Black Sea.

Germany has been heavily involved in peace talks between Kiev and
Moscow since Russia's annexation of the Crimean peninsula in twenty
fourteen.

MAY TAKES UP CHALLENGE OF BREXIT TV DEBATE

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has challenged opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn to a televised debate over Brexit.

It's thought this could take place on December 9th, days before a vote on Mrs May's Brexit deal in the UK's Parliament.

She's setting off on a nationwide tour to try and sell the agreement she's reached with the EU to the country.

But dozens of MPs in her own Conservative Party currently say they'll vote against it.

India's government targets air pollution reduction

India's government has set a target of reducing air pollution by 20 to 30 per cent across more than one hundred cities by 2024.

US Calls on Russia to Stop "Unlawful Conduct"

The United States has accused Russia of taking “outlaw actions” against Ukrainian ships.  
The Ukrainian navy says Russian ships fired on and seized three of its artillery ships on Sunday. 
Russia says the action was lawful.

Mexico will deport group of migrants that tried to rush US-Mexico border

British academic Matthew Hedges released from UAE jail


British academic Matthew Hedges has been released from prison in the United Arab Emirates, where he was detained on spying charges.

AUSTRALIA: Formerly conjoined twins leave hospital

Former conjoined Bhutanese twins Nima and Dawa have left a Melbourne hospital as individual "cheeky" girls, weeks after life-changing surgery to separate them.
The 15-month-old sisters, who had spent their lives joined at the torso, have left Royal Children's Hospital in a pram with their mother, after successful surgery on November 9.

Indian police struggle to retrieve body of killed American missionary

A police team has been trying to explore ways to retrieve the body of American missionary John Allen Chau who was killed by a protected tribe in India's North Sentinel island.

Fishermen who took Mr. Chau to the remote island claim they saw the tribe burying his body on the beach.

India marks ten years since Mumbai 26/11 terrorist attacks

Mumbai is marking ten years since the terrorist attacks of 26th November 2008, which left 166 dead in India's financial capital.
