Moscow and Kiev declare two separate ceasefires

Russia and Ukraine have each announced a temporary ceasefire, but their dates are non-aligned creating a situation of competing short-term truces. Moscow proposed a 72-hour pause around May 9 when Russia marks the WWII Victory Day. Kyiv announced a separate earlier ceasefire starting at midnight on Tuesday, May 5. ANOTHER SUSPECTED HANTAVIRUS CASE ON CRUISE SHIP, 2ND INFECTION CONFIRMED

The World Health Organisation has confirmed a seventh passenger is ill on a cruise ship suspected of suffering from a hantavirus outbreak.

Three people have died, one is critically ill in hospital, and three others are “reporting mild symptoms.”

A second case has now been confirmed as hantavirus. But the W-H-O says there's “low” risk to the global population.
