Trump Administration Reclassifies Marijuana

The Trump administration reclassified marijuana, removing it from a list of drugs that also includes heroin, LSD, MDMA, and synthetic opioids.

UK Medical Data Listed For Sale on Chinese Website in Serious Breach

The British government says medical data linked to half a million people has been listed for sale on a Chinese e-commerce platform. 

Officials describe it as a serious breach involving one of the country’s most important health research databases.

UK Preparing Mine-Clearing Operations for Strait of Hormuz

The UK is reportedly preparing divers for mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz, alongside uncrewed systems. 

It comes as London hosts military planning talks on reopening the crucial waterway, with the Washington Post reporting that a Pentagon assessment estimates it could take up to six months to completely clear the strait of Iranian laid mines.

Maternity Care In England Criticised

Maternity care in England “isn't good enough”, according to the country's top midwife.

There were 252 maternal deaths from 2022 to 2024, a 20% increase in just over a decade.


New clinical standards will be rolled out across every hospital to try and combat the rising mortality rates. Measures are set to include more mental health assessments and easier access to midwives.

UK AND FRANCE SIGN NEW MIGRATION DEAL

The UK and France have agreed a new $900 million deal to try and stop migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats.

Iranian Stand Off Continues

Leaders from 30 nations are meeting in London today to continue discussions about keeping the Strait of Hormuz open once the US war with Iran ends.

It comes as Donald Trump extended the ceasefire - just hours before it was due to end.


It's to allow for more peace talks that were due to take place in Pakistan, but the US is continuing to block Iranian ports until that happens.
