The Metropolitan police - has found more than 8-thousand officers were not properly vetted, over a period of 10 years up until 2023.
The review into vetting procedures was launched following the kidnap and murder of Sarah Everard by firearms officer, Wayne Couzens in 2021.
Two sex offenders were among officers, who the force failed to effectively screen.

India expects its economy to grow by 7.4 per cent in the current financial year to the end of March, according to a newly released official estimate.
That means India is set to retain its title of being the world's fastest-growing major economy. And it comes despite tensions over US tariffs - with analysts saying strong domestic consumer spending is supporting growth.

A man has been jailed for supplying small boats and engines to people smuggling gangs crossing the English Channel.
He's previously been listed by the UK National Crime Agency as its 'most wanted man' and is thought to have made millions from the operation.
