The UK's FTSE 100 has passed 10,000 points for the first time - a symbolic milestone after a positive year for the country's main index.

Its value rose 21% over the course of 2025, beating international rivals like America's S&P 500.

English Channel Small Boat Crossings Increase

More than 41-thousand migrants crossed the English Channel in small boats in 2025.

It's the second highest annual figure on record.

In November, the UK home secretary announced changes to try and combat the issue - including making it easier to deport people.

Ship seized by Finland transporting sanctioned Russian steel

UK NHS ROLLS OUT CHICKENPOX VACCINE

'Several Dozen' Presumed Dead In Swiss Ski Resort Fire

Police in Switzerland say 'several dozen' people are presumed dead - and more than a hundred have been injured- after a fire at a bar in the Swiss Alps.
