UK inflation has fallen to 3.6% in the year to October - the first time the rate has dipped in seven months.

However, it fell less than analysts had been expected.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves acknowledges the government has more to do to ease living costs, as she prepares to present a key budget next week.

Bangladesh NSA in Delhi as questions over Hasina extradition loom

Bangladesh's National Security Advisor is in New Delhi to attend a two-day security conclave.

His visit, a rare one involving a senior-ranking official representing the Bangladeshi interim government, comes as New Delhi is yet to state on record what it plans to do with Bangladesh's request to extradite Sheikh Hasina.
