Pakistan intensifies security operations to combat terrorism

Bangladesh's former leader Sheikh Hasina sentenced to death

In Bangladesh, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to death by a special tribunal that found her guilty of committing crimes against humanity.

She was put on trial in absentia and was found guilty of overseeing a crackdown on protesters last July.
