Fear Of Further UK Strikes
There are fears that there could be another wave of public sector strikes in the UK.
Leading unions representing teachers, nurses and doctors have said industrial action is 'possible' after criticising pay deals.
The British Medical Association says a proposed pay rise of 4% represents salary "erosion".
Government ministers say it's "meaningful progress" at a time when public finances are being stretched.
A series of strikes affecting the National Health Service took place in 2023 and 2024, as junior doctors fought for significant pay rises.
