Death toll rises in Myanmar even as rescue efforts continue

Rescue workers are still pulling out people from the debris in Myanmar - five days after the disastrous earthquake hit South East Asia.

The death toll there has now crossed 2700 and at least 441 people are still missing according to local reports.

Mangione to face the death penalty on federal murder chargers of healthcare CEO


The U.S. Attorney General is seeking the death penalty for the murder suspect in the UnitedHealthcare CEO killing.

Luigi Mangione is being tried in New York for the murder, in a trial expected to start on April 18.

UN wants answers following the killing of 15 Palestinian paramedics in Gaza

The United Nations has called for "justice and answers" after Israeli
forces killed eight Palestinian medics and a UN staff member in an
attack in southern Gaza.
Those killed were from Palestine Red Crescent Society and the
Palestinian Civil Defence.
A total of 280 UN workers have been killed since the violence erupted
on 7 October 2023.

Marine Le Pen hits out at being barred from running in presidential election

The French opposition leader Marine Le Pen has spoken out after being barred from running in the 2027 presidential election following her conviction for embezzlement on Monday.
