At least five people have died so far, with the fires spreading at an

UN calls for more aid for Syria humanitarian efforts
The United Nations says more funding is needed to aid its efforts in Syria.
The UN Security Council heard on Wednesday that close to 13 million people are facing acute food insecurity.
This comes a month after the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime, which had ruled the country since 1971.

Massive wildfires rip through multiple LA suburbs

Fmr US Pres Carter lying in state in Washington DC
