BRITISH BILLIONAIRE TO BECOME TREASURER OF FARAGE'S REFORM UK PARTY

A British billionaire and former Conservative Party member will become the treasurer of political party 'Reform UK'.

After his appointment was announced, Nick Candy said he had "exchanged messages" with the world's richest man, Elon Musk -- though said they didn't discuss donations.

US charges Syrians with war crimes

The United States has filed war crimes charges against two
high-ranking Syrian military figures who it accuses of torturing
American citizens.

London Experiencing Phone Theft 'Epidemic'

It's been claimed that 64 thousand mobile phones were stolen in London last year, amid claims that the UK capital is in the grip of a phone theft 'epidemic'.


Opposition Conservative politicians are calling on the government to introduce tougher penalties for prolific criminals.


Police intelligence suggests a surge in demand for second hand phones in the UK and abroad is behind the issue. The Justice Secretary has said a summit will be held with phone manufacturers to try and work out ways to combat the problem.


Many of the stolen phones were snatched from peoples hands as they walked down the street, and in parliament, the Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick said more needed to be done…

Suspect in UnitedHealth CEO shooting being held in high security prison

A man has been charged with murder over the killing of UnitedHealth boss Brian Thompson.


New York prosecutors filed murder charges against Luigi Mangione after he was arrested in the state of Pennsylvania on Monday.


He has not entered a plea.

Jay Z's lawyers denied rape of 13 year old accusing lawyer of pushing for a payout

CARETAKER PM APPOINTED FOR SYRIA

Mohammed al Bashir's been appointed caretaker Prime Minister for Syria, according to local media.

He'll hold the role at the head of a transitional government until March next year.

Al Bashir had previously been running rebel-held Idlib before the fall of Bashar al Assad's regime.

Security expert at the University of Buckingham Professor Anthony Glees says western countries will need to engage carefully with the new authorities in Syria.

UK’s Terror Proscription For HTS Under Review

The UK Government has indicated that its current proscription of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) as a terror group is under review after the Syrian rebels lead role in the toppling of Bashar al-Assad's regime. 

HTS has been designated as a proscribed terrorist organisation by the UK as well as the US and UN among others, as a result of its past affiliation with Al-Qaeda.

German President To Arrive Nigeria On State Visit

Six killed and dozens injured in bus crash in Mumbai

Donald Trump lays out plans for second term

Donald Trump has vowed to press on with the biggest deportation in American history after he takes office next month, doubling down on his promise to deport millions of undocumented immigrants, including their family members who are in the nation legally.

Jay-Z denies allegations of raping minor

US airstrikes target Islamic State in Syria, following ousting of President Bashar Al-Assad


The United States is working to ensure there is not a resurgence of extremist groups like Islamic State in Syria, following a rebel takeover of the country.

Cleanup Continues After Storm Darragh Batters UK

Work is continuing on restoring power to tens of thousands of homes, after storm Darragh (dah-ra) swept through the UK. At one point there were almost two million customers without electricity.


Two men were killed on Saturday after falling trees hit their vehicles, as winds gusted at more than 90 miles per hour (145 kmh).


Train services remain disrupted after falling debris and damage to some lines.
