Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are hot on each other's heels today, campaigning in the same battleground states with less than a week to go until polls close.

The White House hopefuls will be in Wisconsin and North Carolina, following the Vice-President's finely toned address to 75,000 people last night, in which she drew a stark contrast between herself and the former President.

She's also separated herself from the current President, after Joe Biden called his predecessor's supporters — or, as he later clarified, their language  — "garbage", the word recently used by a speaker at a Trump rally to describe the US territory of Puerto Rico.
