Orban’s new political challenger could be headed to Brussels

UK VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE NEARS

Britons are being warned to make sure they're registered to vote in the country's general election with the deadline hours away.

An estimated 4 million first time voters still haven't signed up, which they will need to do by the end of Tuesday (2300GMT).

Indian man extradited to US over alleged Sikh separatist assassination attempt

An Indian man accused of attempting to kill a Sikh separatist on American soil has been extradited to the United States.


Nikhil Gupta is scheduled to appear Monday in a New York courthouse on federal murder-for-hire charges.


Prosecutors say he was behind a failed assassination attempt of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a prominent critic of the Indian government.


The defendant's lawyers say he is being "unfairly prosecuted".
