Indian man extradited to US over alleged Sikh separatist assassination attempt

An Indian man accused of attempting to kill a Sikh separatist on American soil has been extradited to the United States.


Nikhil Gupta is scheduled to appear Monday in a New York courthouse on federal murder-for-hire charges.


Prosecutors say he was behind a failed assassination attempt of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a prominent critic of the Indian government.


The defendant's lawyers say he is being "unfairly prosecuted".

Israel implements "tactical pauses" to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza

Israel has begun daily "tactical pauses" throughout daytime hours to
allow for humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza.

Trains collide in Darjeeling in India, rescue operations underway

China says one of its ships bumped by Philippine vessel in South China Sea

US FAA investigating fake titanium used in new plane models


Both Airbus and Boeing may have made planes with counterfeit titanium in them, according to new information from a supplier which says it had found corrosion in some parts.

Aid deliveries from the US pier in Gaza remain suspended
