Israel qualifies for Eurovision final amid protests

Israel's contestant in this year's Eurovision Song Contest has
qualified for the final of the competition on Saturday.

But thousands of people are expected to gather in the Swedish city of
Malmo to protest Israel's actions in Gaza.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle arrive Nigeria Friday

India confirms withdrawal of its military personnel from Maldives

India has confirmed that all security troops stationed in Maldives have left and have been replaced by civilian personnel.

Maldives new government, that came to power on a pro-China plank last year, had asked India to repatriate troops by the end of this week.

The move comes as Maldives Foreign Minister held talks with his Indian counterpart in New Delhi - the first such high-level engagement since ties deteriorated.

UN General Assembly to vote on recognizing Palestine on Friday

The United Nations General Assembly will vote to recognize Palestine
as a U.N. member state on Friday.
However, the resolution that'll be voted on has been tapered down
following Israel's call for the United States to stop its funding to
the UN should Palestine be granted full membership.
This latest application to the General Assembly follows a failed bid
in the Security Council last month, when the United States vetoed a
resolution to recognise the Palestinian State.

UN: No food or fuel entering Gaza

The United Nations says no humanitarian aid or fuel is currently
