Nippon Steel confident on US Steel purchase this year

Japanese industrial giant Nippon Steel says it’s confident it will lock-in its purchase of US Steel by year-end.


The deal has come under fire from both US President Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump who both say they would block the deal.

UN General Assembly to vote on recognizing Palestine on Friday

The United Nations General Assembly will vote to recognize Palestine
as a U.N. member state on Friday.
However, the resolution that'll be voted on has been tapered down
following Israel's call for the United States to stop its funding to
the UN should Palestine be granted full membership.
This latest application to the General Assembly follows a failed bid
in the Security Council last month, when the United States vetoed a
resolution to recognise the Palestinian State.

Stormy Daniels finishes testimony at Trump trial

Stormy Daniels back in court for Trump hush money trial

US unemployment claims hit highest level since August

UN: No food or fuel entering Gaza

The United Nations says no humanitarian aid or fuel is currently
entering the Gaza strip, which could have "catastrophic" consequences
