India announces names of shortlisted astronauts for its maiden space flight

India announced the names of four Air Force pilots who have been shortlisted to travel on the country's first space flight carrying humans.

This maiden operation is scheduled for 2025, where the mission will take three astronauts to space and bring them back after three days.

EXTRA SECURITY FUNDING FOR UK JEWISH COMMUNITIES

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced a £72 million security package for Jewish schools, synagogues and community centres.

The funding will be allocated to the Community Security Trust to provide measures including guards, CCTV and alarm systems.

There's been a spike in antisemitic incidents in Britain since the October 7th attacks in Israel.

President Marcos vows to defend Philippine sovereignty

Odysseus lander to be 'put to sleep'

The team behind the Odysseus spacecraft says their mission has 'changed the economics of landing on the moon'.


Speaking on Wednesday, representatives of Intuitive Machines said the lander will be "put to sleep" (EXPECTED AROUND 01G THURS) before being powered up again in the next two to three weeks.


Last week it became the first privately developed spacecraft to soft land on the lunar surface.

McConnell announced he's stepping down after longest stint representing party in Senate

More British Parliamentarians could get private bodyguards after recent threats.

$40 million dollars in extra funding is being allocated to politicians' security.
