which calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Tabled by Algeria, the resolution has widespread support amongst
council members, however the United States has indicated that it will

Two police officers and paramedic dead in Minnesota shooting
Two police officers and a paramedic have been killed and another officer injured in a shooting in the US state of Minnesota after responding to an incident at a family home.
The gunman, who was barricaded inside his Burnsville home with seven children, opened fire as officers tried to negotiate with him.

Former US President Donald Trump has linked the death of Russia's imprisoned opposition leader Alexei Navalny to his own legal woes, saying it made him "more aware of what's happening" in the United States.
