PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT APPROVES TROOPS FOR ELECTION

Pakistan's caretaker government has approved the deployment of troops and security personnel at polling stations and sensitive constituencies for the election on February 8th.

It comes amid heightened security concerns ahead of the vote.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is conducting a mock test for its vote count.

India threatens to expel French journalist ahead of Macron visit

Bank of Japan confident on reaching inflation goal

Border slashing approved by US Supreme Court

US Border Patrol can cut down razor wire put up by Texas officials to prevent migrants entering the country, according to a Supreme Court ruling.

Judges decided on Monday that Texas had to give federal law enforcement access to the US-Mexico border.

It's the latest development in an ongoing rift between state and federal lawmakers over immigration control.

Orban's invitation to Swedish PM to discuss NATO

Deadliest Day For IDF In Gaza, 24 Soldiers Killed- 195 Palestinians Killed

House of Lords Votes Against Governments UK-Rwanda Treaty

The House of Lords has voted against the Government's controversial UK- Rwanda Treaty. 

For the first time, the UK's upper house of parliament has voted to delay ratifying a Treaty, which is central to the Government's plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda.

New Strikes Against Houthi Rebels

Fresh strikes have been carried out against Houthi rebels in Yemen.


A joint statement by the UK and US described the action 'as proportionate and necessary' following continued attacks against international shipping and naval vessels transiting the red sea.


According to the Pentagon the strikes hit 8 targets, including an underground storage site as well as Houthi missile and surveillance capability.


The latest strikes follow an initial operation earlier this month.
