Indian and Chinese soldiers clashed twice in 2022, new details show

The Indian Army's gallantry award citations have revealed that the country's soldiers clashed with Chinese troops twice in 2022.

India and China have been engaged in a military standoff along their shared border in the northern Himalayan region of Ladakh, and several rounds of talks have not helped deescalate tensions.

20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers were killed in clashes in 2020, when the standoff first started.

Japan-US summit expected in April

Japan and the United States are planning a leaders summit for April according to Kyodo News.

Report says Beijing delayed key info about covid virus for two weeks in early days of pandemic

WHO says situation in Gaza is "catastrophic"

Trump fumes at defamation trial

US re-designates Houthi rebels as a terror organisation

The United States has officially designated the Houthi rebels in Yemen as a terror organisation.


The move comes after a spate of attacks in past weeks by the Iran-backed militants on ships in the Red Sea, assaults the group claims are in solidarity with Palestinians amid the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.


The US and its allies have responded in recent days with strikes on Houthi targets in an effort to protect freedom of navigation.

Kremlin pledges to deepen cooperation with North Korea, including in "sensitive" areas

Italy's Foreign Minister proposes joint EU mission to protect Red Sea shipping

Canadian permits issued to Indian students fall due to bilateral tensions
