33 BURKINABE SOLDIERS KILLED IN ATTACK BY SUSPECTED JIHADISTS

At least 33 soldiers have been killed in Burkina Faso according to the army.
Jihadist groups are suspended to have carried out the attacks.
Burkina Faso has seen frequent attacks by armed groups since 2015 when violence started to spread across the Sahel region.

Nigerian Students Fleeing Sudan Crisis Trapped in Sahara Desert

Some Nigerian students who have left Sudan due to an unrest in the country have been stranded in the Sahara desert.


Buses evacuating the students stopped in the desert, with the transporters requesting complete payment for their services by the government.

China evacuates 1300 citizens from Sudan as ceasefire extends

International evacuation operations are continuing for foreign nationals in Sudan, as warring factions there have agreed to extend their three-day ceasefire. China says it has evacuated more than a thousand citizens since the conflict began.

Cross examination of Carroll continues in Trump rape case

E. Jean Carroll was back on the witness stand Thursday to face
cross-examination from the legal team representing Donald Trump.

US economic growth slows in first part of 2023

US economic growth slowed considerably during the beginning of the year. 


The gross domestic product rose by 1.1 percent in the first three months of the year compared to 2.6 percent in the last three months of 2022, according to the US commerce department.

Amid border conflict, Indian and Chinese Defence Ministers hold talks

India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has met his Chinese counterpart Li Shangfu in New Delhi.

The meeting was significant because it was the first time the two ministers have engaged bilaterally in more than three years.

Ties have been tense since 20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers were killed in a border clash between their armies back in 2020.
