France closes Sudan embassy as security situation deteriorates

France has closed its embassy in Sudan until further notice, as the security situation deteriorates.

Bed Bath and Beyond files for bankruptcy

Home goods retailer Bed Bath and Beyond has filed for bankruptcy after last-ditch efforts to save it failed.

Sikh separatist leader arrested in India

Indian authorities have arrested Amritpal Singh under the stringent National Security Act. He can now be held in detention for upto a year without being charged.

The self-styled Sikh preacher has rallied calls for a separate state of Punjab and had been on the run for over a month.
