MAJORITY OF UK COMPANIES STILL PAY MEN MORE THAN WOMEN

Figures published by the UK's Gender Pay Gap Service show men are still paid more than women in the United Kingdom. There has been a push for greater earnings transparency over the last decade - but the latest data showed 4 in 5 employers still pay males more, with the median pay gap between men and women sitting at 9.4%. PALACE REFERS TO 'QUEEN CAMILLA' FOR FIRST TIME

King Charles's wife Camilla is being referred to as 'Queen' for the first time by Buckingham Palace as coronation invitations are sent out.

The Palace is understood to believe the time is right to move on from the initial description as 'Queen Consort' in the early part of Charles's reign.

India abstains from voting on UNHRC resolution on Russia's alleged war crimes

India has abstained from voting at the United Nations Human Rights Council resolution to extend the investigation into Russia's alleged war crimes in Ukraine.

The resolution was passed nonetheless with 28 out of 47 members voting in favor of an investigation.

Finland is officially the 31st member of NATO

Finland is officially the 31st member of NATO.

The security alliance welcomed the Nordic nation to the fold by raising its flag in Brussels for the first time.

The move elicited an angry response from Russia, which now sees its border with NATO increase by about twofold.

It has threatened "countermeasures" as it has long been critical of the alliance's eastward expansion.

Ahead of Finland's accession the US ambassador to NATO Julianne Smith said it was one of the main talking points for the 2 day meeting of foreign ministers  that's currently underway.

Florida Democrats arrested while protesting proposed abortion ban

Confusion reigns on Twitter over blue tick -- NYT has its badge removed

The New York Times has lost its Twitter verified badge, after refusing to pay for the blue checkmark. 


The social media site's billionaire owner Elon Musk has been pushing $8-per-month Twitter Blue subscription as a way to remain verified on the platform.


He called the newspaper, which charges for its own subscription service, hypocritical, "unreadable," and branded its coverage as "propaganda."
