N. Korea warns of 'actual action' against Japan

North Korea is denouncing Japan's new security strategy and warning it may take action against the country.


This comes in response  to Japan's Cabinet endorsing a key security document on "counterstrike capability"

House Jan 6 committee recommends criminal charges against Donald Trump

The Congressional committee investigating the deadly attack on the US Capitol on January 6th 2021 has recommended four criminal charges against Donald Trump. 


It voted unanimously to send referrals to the Justice Department that the former president be charged with: inciting or assisting an insurrection, obstruction of an official proceeding of Congress, conspiracy to defraud the United States and conspiracy to make a false statement.

Jan 6th committee to outline findings in final hearing

The Congressional committee investigating the deadly riot at the US Capitol on January 6th last year will vote today (Monday, 1pm ET) on its final report, which may include criminal referrals against Donald Trump.

The White House announces plan to reduce homelessness with figures not budging from pre-pandemic numbers

Latest figures show that homelessness in the US remains similar to the number recorded before the Covid-19 pandemic.

EU hails UN agreement on biodiversity as "historic"

The European Union has hailed a deal signed at the UN biodiversity summit in Montreal as "historic" and "very positive".

The agreement sees at least 30% of the world's land and oceans being put under conservation in the next eight years.
