Nigeria to Spend 160% of Revenue on Debt Service in 2027, World Bank Warns

Jan 6th committee to make criminal referrals over US Capitol attack

30 years since the demolition of the Babri mosque in India

Today marks 30 years since the demolition of the Babri mosque in India - an event that sparked widespread communal riots in the country that left at least 2000 people dead.

For years the land where the mosque stood was disputed - with both Hindus and Muslims claiming the land should be handed over to them.

Three years ago, the Indian Supreme Court ruled that a temple should be built on that land.

FURTHER CHRISTMAS RAIL STRIKES ANNOUNCED IN UK

In the UK members of the RMT union have announced further rail strikes will take place over Christmas. Staff will walk out from 6pm on Christmas Eve and not return to work until the 27th December in protest over pay, job security and working conditions.
