Better than expected 208,000 jobs added in September - ADP report

Signs that the U.S. labor market remained strong in September. According to fresh data from the payroll services firm ADP, private businesses added 208,000 jobs last month.

Attention now turns to Friday's closely watched nonfarm payrolls report.

Japan and United States vow to boost defenses in response to North Korea missile launch

US stocks surge and Twitter shares pop

U.S. stocks surged for a second straight day on hopes that the Federal

And Twitter's shares jumped more than 20 percent amid signs that Elon

EU approves rules mandating single charger for all smartphones from 2024

People living in the European Union will no longer have to keep a handful of different chargers for their tech devices from the end of 2024.


That's after lawmakers in the European Parliament gave final backing to legislation that will force manufacturers of mobile phones and some other gadgets to fit all devices with USB-C charging ports.


The laws are the first of their kind in the world.
