Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is Latest US Official to Visit Taiwan

The governor of the US state of Indiana has become the latest US official to visit Taiwan, defying pressure from Beijing.

Eric Holcomb referred to the visit as an economic development trip.

Hong Kong police question five people over suspected trafficking operation

Hong Kong police are questioning five people in connection with a suspected human trafficking operation in Southeast Asia. Police say more than 20 Hong Kong citizens are being held captive in Cambodia and Myanmar.

Japan PM Recovering from Covid-19 amid escalating infections

Cheney vows to continue fight against "election deniers"

Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, a vocal critic of Donald Trump, says she'll continue fighting against members of her own party who support the former president's false claims about the 2020 election.

She made the comments in an interview with ABC news after she lost to a Trump-backed candidate in the primary race in Wyoming.

Protests erupt in India, after 11 men convicted for rape and murder are released from prison

US DoJ Trump affidavit could be unsealed, says judge

A federal judge in Florida has ordered the US Justice Department to prepare for the release of the affidavit used to justify the FBI search at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump's home, earlier this month.


The former President of the United States is being investigated for allegedly taking top secret documents from the White House to his Florida residence as he left office, a potential violation of the Espionage Act. 


The country's Attorney General Merrick Garland last week approved the release of the warrant used to execute that search.
