Former Australian Prime Minister refuses to resign over secret ministerial appointments

Biden signs key climate legislation into law

US President Joe Biden has signed a bill into law which will provide
hundreds of billions of dollars to help fight climate change.

The White House describes the Inflation Reduction Act as the largest
climate investment in American history.

It also extends health insurance subsidies and raises taxes on
America's biggest corporations.

The act took a year and a half to negotiate through Congress and is
seen as a big win for President Biden, who cut short his vacation to
attend the signing ceremony in Washington.

UN chief to visit Ukraine to observe grain shipments

The United Nations Secretary-General will travel to Ukraine this week
to meet President Volodymyr Zelinskyy to see the export of grain from

EU confirms receipt of Tehran's response to Iran Nuclear Deal revival proposals

The European Union has confirmed it's received a formal response from Tehran to recent proposals aimed at reviving the Iran Nuclear Deal.


The 2015 accord, which offered sanctions relief for Iran in exchange for curbs on its nuclear activities, has been in tatters since the US withdrew in 2018 under Donald Trump's presidency.


The EU has been trying to stitch the deal back together over more than a year of stop-start negotiations, mediating indirect talks between Tehran and Washington.
