Britain's Queen Elizabeth is missing a service of Thanksgiving at st Paul's Cathedral after experiencing 'discomfort' during Thursday's Jubilee celebrations.

The service is being held on Friday to mark her 70 years on the British throne.

Her son Prince Andrew is also missing it due to testing positive for covid-19.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby was due to host the event at St Paul's but is not attending because of coronavirus.

But he says he's glad it's being held in her honour.

US government report flags alleged attacks on minorities in India

U.S. President due to visit Riyadh, to tackle rising energy prices at home

Celebrations are underway in central London to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Crowds gathered outside Buckingham Palace to mark 70 years of Queen Elizabeth's reign - making her the longest serving monarch in British history.

The UK is marking the occasion with a special four-day public holiday.

On Thursday, a procession saw parading soldiers, horses and musicians come together to mark the Queen's birthday - known as Trooping the Colour.

Biden to address nation, urge Congressional action on guns after latest attack in Tulsa

President Biden is urging Congressional action to tighten America's gun laws.

US announces largest cancellation of federal student debt in history

The United States is automatically cancelling all remaining federal student loans owed by more than a half million former students.

EU holds upgraded trade dialogue with Taiwan
