UK PM AND CHANCELLOR FIGHT ON

Boris Johnson says he's focusing on his job after becoming the first serving British Prime Minister to be sanctioned for law-breaking.

He and Chancellor Rishi Sunak have rejected calls to resign despite being fined for breaking covid-19 lockdown rules at a Downing Street gathering in 2020.

Opposition parties say Parliament should be recalled and they should quit.

But Conservative MP Shailesh Vara believes it's right for him to focus on the future.

India's inflation rate jumps to 17 month high

Biden accuses Putin of genocide

New York officials still searching for subway shooting suspect

Officials in New York say they are still searching for the suspect behind Tuesday’s mass shoot in a subway station. 

At least 16 people were injured when a gunman opened fire on a train during the morning commute. 
Law enforcement say they have a person of interest but nobody in custody.

US markets down following inflation report

US markets closed lower on Tuesday as new data showed inflation growing at 8 and a half percent, the fastest rate in more than forty years.

The Biden administration announced a loosening of restrictions on gasoline made with higher ethanol content in a bid to bring down fuel prices

Manhunt continues for NYC subway shooting suspect

The suspect behind a shooting on New York’s subway system earlier on Tuesday remains at large. At least 16 people were injured but officials say they still don’t have a motive.

US inflation gets even uglier

Chaos at US-Mexico border over new ‘enhanced’ inspections

Hundreds of rapes reported in areas previously under Russian control: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says hundreds of cases of rape have been reported in areas previously controlled by Russian troops.


Zelensky made the comments during a virtual speech to EU member Lithuania, in which he also called for tougher sanctions against Moscow.

At least 5 shot and undetonated devices found at NYC subway station

At least five people have been shot in a New York City subway station by a man in a gas mask and orange construction vest.


New York City Fire department said they found multiple people shot as well as undetonated devices at 36th St Station in Brooklyn.

Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak fined by MET Police over 'partygate' scandal

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor of the exchequer Rishi Sunak will both be fined over the government's 'Partygate' scandal.


Today, (Tuesday) 30 more fines were issued by the Metropolitan Police Force over illegal gatherings held at government buildings during covid-19 restrictions in 2020 and 2021.


That takes the total number of fixed penalty notices now issued to 50, Chris Jones has more in London.

UK Government says 'all options on the table' if Russia used chemical weapons

Macron ready "to budge" on pension reform as French presidential run-off approaches

The French president says he would discuss pension reform, one measure he failed to pass during his presidential term.
