Bannon surrenders to face charges of contempt of Congress

Donald Trump's former political adviser Stephen Bannon is now in custody after turning himself in on charges of contempt of Congress.


Mr. Bannon was indicted by a Grand Jury after he ignored a subpoena requiring him to give evidence to a Congressional committee investigating the January 6th violent insurrection on Capitol Hill by Trump supporters.


Moments before surrendering to the FBI's Washington field office, he directed a defiant message to his supporters via his own video livestream.

Terrorism threat level in UK increased to 'severe' after terror attack

The terrorism threat level in the UK has been increased from 'substantial' to 'severe', meaning an attack is "highly likely."


The decision comes a day after an explosion at a hospital in the English city of Liverpool, which police have declared "a terror incident."

Covid booster shots advised in UK

All over-40s in the UK should be offered a third dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, according to the British government's vaccination advisers.


The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation also said that 16 and 17-year-olds should now receive a second dose, having so far only been offered a first.

EU agrees new sanctions against Belarus over migrant trafficking

Judge Ends Britney Spears' Conservatiorship

Britney Spears' controversial conservatorship has come to end after thirteen years.

Fans celebrated outside of the courthouse in Los Angeles after a judge granted the 39 year old pop star's request.
